Default How do I delete attachments?

I can't seem to find a way to delete my attachments. There are suppose to be check boxes to the right of the attachments but mine have none. Do I have something turned off or on? or is there a different way to delete attachments?

Go to 'edit post' and 'go advanced'. If you can't delete them in the text box (I don't remember) than I'm pretty sure you can open manage attachments again and delete them through there. I may be wrong, I was wrong once before but give it a shot.

Go 'advanced' and look right down near the bottom (left and right) you will find a check box (left) and a button to delete (Right side I think???).

That's for removing attachments from a post. If you can't edit the post anymore, you can't remove them that way. Also I am not sure they get removed from your account.

The way to remove the attachments from the account is Settings (top right side on any page)->Attachments (right under Miscellaneous towards the bottom of the left panel), and then they can be deleted from there:

At least it worked for me when I tested it.

I was under the impression that attachments were part of posts and could not be deleted?

If you do a post with an attachment and it turns out to be the wrong one, or you decide you want a different one, you can , within a limited time, delete it. After a certain period, unless you're a mod or an admin, the edit function is no longer available in which case you're stuck with it.

Kettlebell, with 20 posts, I see you are fairly new here. Read all above! If you post using attachments, they are part of your posts. These posts are part of the forum.
They cannot be deleted. If you don't want it out there, don't download it. The way of the cyber world. Simple as that!
Or, you Could try the Zen thing!

Yeah, that's probably it - posts can only be modified for a limited time only and attachments being part of the posts probably means they can also only be modified for a limited time only.
