Congratulations on your decision to join the forces.
As the Australian equivalent of your 'Gunny' (retired) the only advice I will offer is that, when the staff are giving you a rev up (which will probably not be pleasant), they are trying to ensure that you survive in battle - because they care.
That was my motivation anyway, FWIW
Good luck and a safe journey - we want to see you back here
And to all the Members, Staff and Vendors at SRP - all the very best for the upcoming Festive Season - I thank you for your efforts during the past yearLast edited by Havachat45; 12-20-2012 at 12:33 AM.
Hang on and enjoy the ride...

+1 to what has been said here, keep us up to date and if you need any encouragement or advice please feel free to ask us. The two things I would like to advise at the moment are these.
#1 Go as far as you and grab all that you can, be tactically and technically proficient in everything you can.
#2 As my Drill Sergeant told us on day one, "Cooperate and graduate!". This applies at all times where ever you may be in your career. It is easier to fool people than to convince them they have been fooled. Twain

To deerhunter, thank you for your sacrifice and service ahead of time. To everyone else: thanks for all the info, guidance, and great conversations. Merry Christmas to you and yours in case we don't speak again before then.
Mastering implies there is nothing more for you to learn of something... I prefer proficient enough to not totally screw it up.
