Thanked: 172Will Razors to SRP
I'm not planning on croaking yet but am curious to know how one would go about willing his razors to SRP for give aways or practice restores for newbies.
I would hate to have my razors just sit in the house and no one want or know what to do with them.
And NO ! YOU CAN'T HAVE'EM NOW.

Interesting. First of all, thanks. I find this a worthy initiative, especially if you have no direct descendants who would appreciate them. You probably already know that we have a hall of remembrance where we post notifications of members who have passed away. Usually we are contacted be surviving relatives who know that the deceased person was an avid shaver and member here.
I think the safest option would be for you to put in your will that you want your shaving posessions to be donated to SRP for the purpose of distributing them among members. You can be more specific about whom they should go to, but then you have to be careful that you don't use terms like 'new members' without explicitly defining what 'new member' means.
I don't know the exact legal requirements of us being stated as a beneficiary, but I can ask a US lawyer friend to explain this to me. It is dangerous to mention people by name because they might be gone before you do. So you probably have to mention SRP by its full name / webaddress and refer to the admins.
Ok. I find this interesting and I will do a bit of research, ask some advice from my lawyer friend, and then get back to you here.
Thanks for the idea.Til shade is gone, til water is gone, Into the shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath.

Thanked: 1184I volunteer to be the trustee. I will honestly distribute both razors to the appropriate beneficiaries. Ipso facto and all the fine print included I swear. PM me for my address and legal papers.
Seriously, I do think you have a great idea there. I mean if the dollar value did not benefit or impact your immediate family, that would be my wish too.Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

Will Razors to SRP
You do have a good idea there. If I were to die I know that how ever was left would just dump the soaps and splashes. And just box up the razors and after a decent period of time (May be one or two weeks) take them to some antique store and get a buck apiece for them! Sad.
