    I'd vote for keeping the post count out of social inertia. Everyone else does it, so they must have a good reason and I can't believe I'm actually saying that

    Not easily... it's not a configuration option. But even if it were, I think you'd want to keep them. Lots of things in the forum are driven by post counts and almost every other forum I'm a member of has them visible. Honestly guys, I've seen lots of discussions about what is/isn't visible on the broad range of forums I belong to... and I've never seen this discussed as an issue. Hopefully we can avoid creating another quagmire here and just accept that this is the way it works.

    Mike, hopefully you put away your waders... wasn't the swamp effectively drained when we upgraded last month? The Ranks were disabled completely and the Titles were made user selectable for all but moderators and admins.
