Well Randy Taylor!.....I'm tickled to death that you like the final product.

Tony I must say I'm intrigued by the flute and the razors and wish we could have a good look. PM me your address and I'll send you some shaving soap samples.

Now as I am trying to type this the ads to my left are going crazy.....and it seems to interfere with how quickly I can type. Is this just me , or is this how it is....??

It is most likely related to the computing power of your PC and/or your connection speed. If you've got an older (slower) PC or a dial-up connection, then your computer has to prioritize the actions it completes -- download the animated GIF file (the advert) for viewing, then dispaly the characters that you entered by keyboard.

    Ain't computing fun!

    to all:

The Japanese Razor picture was used with Tony's permission when the BannerAd background was created. The original is in Tony's gallery "Tony Miller's Collection" (in the main site's Library/User Gallery (zmg))... and it's in living color there.

Here is it's thumbnail (the actual pic is too large to display in-line)...

Visit his [Gallery] to view it in a larger format.

Well, I have a fairly new computer....almost 2 years old (I know, a dinosaur) and I have Verizon for my internet connection. Its fast! I love it!

Now xChris my Man....I have no idea what animated GIF file even means, nor do I know what the word "advert".means...looks like a short form of advertising...lol.

Joe Thanks for posting the picture....very nice shot, I'll be sure to look in the Gallery too!

    Colleen,

Hmm... Maybe the new advertising is having an effect on the overall site access?

Here is a link to Wikipedia (a form of online encyclopedia) that explains what a GIF is -- the advertising banner (which I shorthanded as "advert") is a form of GIF.

    Colleen,

The ads take a minor amount of "extra" time when a the screen first loads. It's random whether an animated or static ad is displayed when you load the screen... do you notice whether your typing is interrupted more when the animated ad is displayed?
