Searchable locations
Odd thought: a feature that allows you to see if any members are nearby. Obviously only works if one states whereabouts they're from in their profile. Just think it'd be fun to see a graphic of a world map wherein you hover the mouse over a country/state/province and a little flag pops up and says, "X SRP members". If this already exists and I'm just a blockhead, let me know!
Just sayin...

Thanked: 270Lafayette, LA since 1972. Off I-10 in the heart of Cajun Country. Home of the University of Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns. Laissez le se bon temps rouler! (Let the good times roll!)
Originally from Southern California, Anaheim and Garden Grove in the OC, went to LaQuinta High School in Westminster, lifetime Angels fan. The Ducks came into existence after my time, but I had a T-shirt once.

In the old days there was a google map with markers for all members who have set their location, but that was very poorly implemented and only worked when there were few members only. I updated it few times to be compatible with the newer vbulletin versions when it broke, but with the membership growth it became extremely painful to use so we eventually dropped it.
Somewhere, way down on my todo list is to write a new one that works, but considering how many things are more important it may not really happen. But it's an idea if somebody wants a small, fun programming toy project.
