Thread: X in Box

In some posts here which have images inserted, I don't seem to be able to see all the images. Instead I see a little box with an x inside it. This is not on all posts and seems to be a bit hit and miss, as in some posts I can't see the image but when I scroll forward to read other messages in the same post images are there. Any suggestions? I suppose it's just a setting thing but which setting.

It could be broken links to images. They may have been deleted from the host site.

No, I don't think so, it was a message only added the day before, and other people could see the pictures. It has to be something in my settings, I can have several pictures side by side, and for whatever reason just not all of them load, and I get the little x in the box instead of the image.

I think it's just the download of the photo timing out. Sometimes I get that too if the photos are large in filesize, or if there are several photos in a post/thread.

You can right-click the box where the photo is, and then click "show picture." You can also refresh the whole page, and that may get all the photos to appear.

I shall go and give it a try immediately, if I can find the post it was happening in.

No that did not work. The post in question is here, and I cannot see what the initial post images are, but I can see the image in post 4 OK.
