Soap - - Gabon Africa, South Korea & India
I have a unique situation at hand that I would like some soap input on. At this moment I have friends in India, South Korea, And Gabon Africa that will be headed back State Side in the next several weeks. Does any one have soap recommendations that I should ask them to bring back that are local to the country they are in?
It dawned on me a couple of days ago that I had people traveling all the time and I could start collecting. At this point I am telling them to get what ever they can find. If there is something good out there I would like to get more than one.A veteran is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a blank check, made payable to the United States of America, "for an amount up to and including my life".

Thanked: 1195I've never heard of any soaps or creams from Africa or Korea (not to say that they don't exist), but I seem to recall hearing at one point that Shulton was still producing Old Spice shaving cream in India. I'm not sure if that's still the case though.

Hello Ryan,
Good to hear from you.
Thanks for the information i will have them check to see if there is any around to be had in India. As far as Gabon Africa, it is a French protectorate I think, of at least everyone speaks french. My guy there Is trying to figure out how to do a translation so he can explain what he is trying to find. My man does not speak French so I hope that someone here that speaks french will offer a translation so he might be able to find some there.A veteran is someone who, at one point in their life, wrote a blank check, made payable to the United States of America, "for an amount up to and including my life".

Thanked: 3225It is marketed and distributed by a company in India who are the licensed users of the trademark. It is manufactured by a different company in India. It still has Shulton New York-London-Paris on it too just to make it more confusing. It is Musk scent.

India has some great soaps, creams, and tooth pastes. Prices are very reasonable and a nice collection should take up too much space.

I can just picture it now
Passport Please, Sir, Do you have anything to declare? What is this? What do you mean it it Raw Black African soap? Do I look stupid? I will have you know I just transferred here from the TSA I am a well trained government employee. I am calling Homeland security & the D.E.A.
4 days later on fox news a story about man with kidney damage from a cavity search due to mistaken soap for drug feed rhino dung smuggling.
I think I will have him keep everything in a factory package.Last edited by hidestoart; 08-03-2013 at 08:01 PM.
