Thread: Uberlather of the day

There's a shave of the day and a cut of the day, why not an uberlather of the day?
I know we all enjoy mixing up some of our favourite soaps and creams with some glycerin, so why not have a thread where we can share all of our creative combinations?

I'm already setting up for tomorrow's shave with some water on top of my Edwin Jagger sea buckthorn to sit over night, to be mixed with a touch of D.R. Harris lavender for tomorrow's shave.

Let's hear some of your combinations!

MdC and L'Ocittane Cade cream. Many will say what a waste of MdC. However, the Cade lathers very poorly but I love the scent. So, mix a superb lathering MdC, that has a very light scent with it and it makes a great mix! YMMV

Tried some Ogallala Bay Rum and C.O. Bigelow a while back.....what a sensation! The Bay Rum wasn't lathering up like I wanted so I dressed it up with Bigelow and was suprised at the results. Time to give it another go........

Did the day thing with the wife yesterday. We stopped for a bit in Victoria Gardens down in Rancho and I scored a bowl of sandalwood soap, sandalwood aftershave gel and an alum block. Did a full parade shave today and it was awesome. The soap bowl didn't take the suds too well so I let them drip into my cheapie rice bowl then went to town with my Conk badger brush I've been using for the last 15 yrs. It just blew up. Tons of creamy lather. Had enough not only for a full 3 pass shave with my Wilbert but had a touch extra that I let my cheapie Hashir strop feed on. Oh yeah it was Art of the Shave that we hit. Tiny lil b&m. My back bathroom is bigger..lol
