Truefitt+Hill or Art Of Shaving sandalwood cream?
What would you guys say the differences are between these two creams? Scent and performance differences?

I should mention that my soap and cream experiences so far have been with proraso, real shave co cream, TOBS (almost all scents) cream, edwin jagger soaps, D.R. Harris lavender cream and marlborough soap, arko stick, williams and derby shave cream.
Basically I'd like to kind of get that "wow" factor and would like to know which sandalwood cream I should try, the truefitt and hill or the art of shaving.

Thanked: 177I have used both and take your pick. They are both excellent soaps IMO. I couldn't say one is better than the other.

I have the AoS sandalwood in the travel tube. Its a great travel product for me because it goes further than most, you really don't need much.

Everyone says great things about each...I don't know which one to pick! I'm not sure how they compare in scent to TOBS sandalwood, which I find too bold and intense for me. Perhaps I should PM Obie since he seems to have tried every soap and cream available!

If you don't prefer intense sandalwood scent, I might steer clear of the Art of Shaving cream, it does have quite a strong scent, in my opinion.

I just had my first, and most likely last shave ever with T&H Sandalwood.
The only other sandalwood cream I´ve tried is TOBS, which is a bit pungent and overwhelming, but lathers great.
I have no idea where the "sandalwood" labelling on T&H comes from. I find the scent sharp and extremely perfumed - almost like an aftershave.
I hope I have better luck with the West Indian Limes, Trafalgar and No 10 which arw waiting on the shelf.
I´m continuing my search for the "perfect" sandalwood cream. Best of luck with yours...

kwlfca,
As an alternative to those two (2) creams, you could consider the 'new' Proraso Sandalwood cream (red tube in the UK).
I had tried both the T&H & AOS creams, and much prefer the Proraso in terms of scent & performance. (NOTE : This is my personal preference only).
Of the T&H & AOS, I preferred the AOS for its better performance on the face.
Have fun !
Best regards
Russ
