Default C O Bigelow Shave Cream

Just picked up a tube of C O Bigelow at Bath and Body Works. Has anyone used this stuff before? Is it good? How does it lather up?

Great stuff (ProRaso, green), I have used it daily as an uberlather additive for about 3 years. It also lathers well by itself.

Can be obtained almost anywhere in the US at BBW. Comes in 5 and 10 dollar tubes. I stock up during the buy 2, get 1 free sales.

Ok, follow up time. How does it lather on its own? What do you mix it with for uberlather?

Its a solid all around great performer on its own. I build uberlather when using a SR as it gives me a little more face time before I need to wet my brush tip and rehydrate drying lather. Uberlather is a mixture, an almond sized dollop of shaving cream and about 6 drops of glycerin added to shaving soap lather in a bowl. I usually use straight soap or cream lather when using my DE razors since shaving is faster.

I love the proraso red and use it for a face lather, an almond size amount gives me plenty of lather for 3 passes with plenty in the brush left over. plan on trying some of the bigalow stuff when i run out of red.

I recently got a tube of the CO Bigelow as my old Proraso was up.The first thing I noticed was the menthol/eucalyptus to be less strong and a slight different feel of the cream when lathering up. But in all still a good performer at a very affordable price.

Just tried it yesterday. Whips up a thick lather with just a dab that shaves great. Nice clean aroma.
