Proraso cream?
I hear a lot of good reviews about Proraso shaving cream - both the red and green have been given great reviews by the B&B forum.
Has anybody used it? Good for sensitive skin, irritation, razorburn, etc.?
Is there a big difference between the red and green?
Other than online, any chain stores where this can be picked up?

Proraso can be picked up at Target, in the spa section where you get toothpastes with no fluoride and goat milk soaps. The mint in the Proraso creams MAY be harsh on sensitive skin but I wouldn´t know as I´ve never tried it.

Thanked: 346Some skin types have problems with it. It's got either eucalyptus or menthol in it, as well as propylene glycol, which is an active ingredient in antifreeze and cigarettes.

I don't have sensative skin so I don't know about that angle. I've tried the Proraso green tube. I think its a supurb value. The quality of the shave given is in the same ball park as creams costing 2-3 times as much. While I enjoy the cooling sensation, the scent is nothing to write home about. If you want a very good no-nonsense cream with a little zing at a good price, go for the Proraso green.
Proraso's a/s products are outstanding as well.

My skin is sometimes sensitive - kinda comes and goes. I have both green and red. The green is very menthol-y - when you splash cool water on after shaving, it's quite a shocking sensation. It's so intense that I shy away from the green altogether, but others love it. The red's not like that at all and they both lather well and really lubricate the beard.

Try a Bath and Body Works store in a local mall, they carry C.O.Bigelow products. The Bigelow shaving cream is Proraso repackeged. It's been widly reported that Target stores have been having supply problems.
Tried it yesterday for the first time myself- smelled good, felt nice (tingly), but I was dissapointed with my lather quality. Can't blame the cream as I'm definatly a newb at making lather.
