Default Mrs. Colleen Hurley -- One Nice Lady

After being schooled in the ways of manly soaps, I decided to buy a few soaps from Mrs. Colleen Hurley ----1 oz of : Cavendish Black, Desert Ironwood, Sandalwood, and Leatherneck. Let me tell you what fellas, this is one classy nice lady to deal with. I haven't received the soaps yet but if her soaps are anything like her personality then they're destined to be winners. She accidentally charged me wrongly for the shipping -maybe $1 over the actual price --and emailed me to let me know and assured me that amount would be deducted from any future orders. Of course I told here not to worry about it and to just name her next soap after me --- maybe a little Louisiana swamp mud and Tabasco Sauce smell (just kidding) --but really, fellows, a super lady to deal with --- as most members know already but maybe not all.

I couldn't agree more. I ordered some of Colleen's items from a 3rd party, and needed to return or sell them. Thought not her concern, I asked her opinion. She replied with great advice (see the new great deal in the buy/sell/trade forum), and also offered to help me with choosing a scent, as my significant other disapproved of my choices.

She is classy, and will have my support going forward.

    Cheers,
    John

Can't wait to use them fellas -- speaking quietly - SHHH but this isn't about me -this is about Mrs. Colleen. I tell you what -- it makes the whole experience so much better when dealing with someone like her. And Steve, I didn't know you were working with her and trying to get her new creams just right --bloody good man., bloody good. By the way does she or will she have a website ?

I was only working with her for my cream. I didn't intend to imply that I was helping her develop her cream. She had originally given me what she called formula #4 which was a thicker cream. When I had to re-order, she sent me formula #5 which was a lighter cream. As a result, I kept getting suds, so she tried creating lather from one of her batches, told me what she got and that gave me a benchmark to try on my batch. It took me 3 variations of water/cream but I got it with her help. So it wasn't her new creams, it was my new tub of cream.

    Sorry for the confusion

As to website - someday Everytime she makes some progress on it she falls behind because it's just her making soaps and creams (she also makes awesome bath soaps) and she gets busy.

I will just add that her products do come very close to matching her personality, by being top-notch

No real confusion -- I didn't think she had you stirring vats of soap or using you as guinea pig --just good to see that she was kind enough to work one on one with you. Later,

    Justin

P.S. But I'll be suspicious if her next soap is called Rhode Island Breeze

I can just smell it now. A subtle mix of salt air, construction truck exhaust and landfill with an undertone of sewer mixed in.
