    All is OK now.
I'm glad to hear it's OK now. I've always had sensitive skin and any fragranced face product (balm, moisturising cream, shave cream etc) always gave me grief with itchiness, redness, and irritation. Never had the peeling as you describe - it is good advice to go check it out with a doctor if possible.

I've found fragrance-free face products work well for me (some of the "sensitive skin" stuff hasn't worked). However, recently I've been using the Crabtree and Evelynn Sandalwood aromatic aftershave balm with no ill-effects. The initial outlay is steep, I know, but I've seriously only needed a drop about the size of a pea in my palm to cover the shaved area.

Anyway, I hope you find something that works for you.

    James.

Yes indeedy. They have a fragrance free moisturizing lotion that works well as an aftershave balm.

I think they have something labeled as a facial moisturizer. I do use their soaps -- I don't have problem skin but they work for me. I'm starting to squirm when I use terms like "problem skin" ---a little to much in touch with my feminine side. Where's my Pine Tar soap? Where's my Bowie Knife? Damn it.

Heh. You should see the looks I've gotten when perusing the lotions and moisturizers section at the drugstore.

My own sisters would beat the crap out of me if they heard me use such terms --not to mention my mother. My dad --well he uses water and regular soap --moisturizer? Yeah right. Who needs moisturizer with Louisiana humidity anyway?

The key is to disguise your meaning with clinical and technical terms. Say you need a dermal hydration agent with minimal olfactory presence.

yeah work in some car/automotive repair terms in there. Get as technical as possible and they'll have to believe you're still a man. I was looking for some transaxle lube and all I could find was this "Cetaphil Sissy Skin Stuff".

You guys! Come on now, there's nothing wrong with releasing the metrosexual inside us. We're all walking a pretty fine line on these forums anyway - hmmm, think I might change my username to "Himbo"...

Hey, James I don't get the "Himbo" joke. I don't know if it's just me but it might be one of those Aussie things.
