    Weleda Shaving Cream

    Producer: Weleda, Arlesheim, Switzerland

    Type: Shaving Cream

INCI (List of Ingredients): Water (Aqua), Potassium Stearate, Glycerin, Potassium Olivate, Potassium Cocoate, Sodium Stearate, Magnesium Sulfate, Fragrance (Parfum), Linalool, Citronellol, Pansy (Viola Tricolor) Extract, Sweet Almond (Prunus Dulcis) Extract, Goat's Milk (Caprae Lac), Sodium Olivate, Sodium Cocoate, Sodium Silicate, Alcohol

Excellent ingredients, all of vegetable origin, no chemical or synthetic elements, the producers states all of the essential oils are of natural origin, Score: 10

Pakage: Tube in a cardboard box, Score: 10

    Quantity: 75ml (2.5oz)

Smell: Very pleasing aroma, a balanced mix of citrus fruits, violet and almond, Score: 10

Lather: I used about 2 centimeters of cream (less than one inch) a quantity which easily made an abundant and creamy lather with a moderate quantity of water, more than enough for my usual three passes, with excellent water retention, bubbles are tiny with few large ones, Score: 9

Shaving: The best sensation you can get from this cream is the freshness it gives to the skin, quite the same given by most of menthol or eucalyptus based creams, very pleasing and refreshing. The cream is very smooth and stable, no sign of dryness, the razor can easily slide on the skin, no skin irritation, not even the slightest sign of it. It leaves a very smooth and well moisturized skin, very pleasing, Score : 10

Conclusion: An excellent shaving cream, very effective and smooth, no skin irritation - not even one - at the end of three passes. I like the smell and the sensation it gives to the skin, with a lovely refreshing sensation. The skin seems to be well moisturized and smooth, so well treated it seems you do not need any post shaving treatment. A truly and very recommended shaving cream. Score: 9

One of the few shaving products that I hated so much I couldn't use it for a second time.

I am glad to see that someone else finds it ecxellent.

Now I am truly interested to know why you did hate this cream so much. I have no intention to doubt your opinion, of course, I am just interested in sharing comments and to know other's opinion. Maybe there it something wrong I missed in my review?

You didn't miss anything in your review razoguy. I event "liked" your post as you can see before previously posting.

I just found the scent so disgusting that I couldn't evaluate anything else in that cream. I didn't use it for a second time.

However, this is only my personal opinion as you all know. I am aware that this cream has received many positive comments from many senior wet shavers in the forums and this was the main reason for trying it.

I just want my personal experience to be stated. I didn't like at all this cream mainly due to its scent.

Sounds like myself when it came to Tabac. I couldn't get passed the smell.

    I have this cream.

I love the scent, and agree that it lathers very well. Thanks for the review.

Razorguy, have you tried the AS splash? That's something special as well.

No, I did not have the chance to try the after shave but I am planning to do that soon.

Me too, Tabac smell is "not so bad", quite "uncommon" but I however like it. I have both the Tabac shave cream and soap: I will review both them soon.
