Just a few SRP AS names...

Well....that's pause for thought ain't it Personally, you're right....as a Southern gal, I have to shoot for tha Road Kill. chuckle.

Update on the scent blend....still heading in the right direction, but it's to sweet.....the bottom notes are not strong enough...and it seems to have zero heart. More adjustments coming down the pike.

    Colleen,
I like the cubic glass bottle, 4.2oz; and the mini glass bottle, 3.4oz.

Both have a substantial look to them.

    How are you feeling today?

    Cheers,
    Ed

Oh Ed....Both very nice choices....any body else wanna take a gander?

And really y'all should look..... Any visuals for me, makes choosing bottles much easier. Oh and if you're curious as to what happened to the others ( worchestershire ) it's still on the shelf too...lol... I'm just not sure I can bring myself to use the bottle.

Yes, its true....I'm damn picky when it comes to packaging, but ya know I always liked that saying, " that you never get a second chance to make a first impression". And I have every intention of putting together an AS that bears the SRP label that will not only be a quality product....but it'll look quality too.

and Thank you for asking after the tooth. It's about the same the burning is easing up though, so based on that hopeful thought maybe in another week or so the feeling will start to come back.

I like several of the bottle styles which use cork stoppers... is that feasible? Seems like they would be a leak waiting to happen during shipping. Ed's choices are nice though and I like the diamond shape as well.

Or do we need to use screw tops (aka threaded neck)? The smallest screw top holds 8oz... is that to big? I do like the rectangular screw top... it's a classic look, but it's huge (13 oz) so I don't think that will work. The biarritz bottles at 9.3 oz are workable but maybe too large as well.

And by Friday, it may be different yet..... Scent Blending is something I try not to think about to hard. It's better to sip wine, wear a tie dyed shirt and listen to music...otherwise you get too technical and somehow the scent looses it's spirit.

So it's Friday... does the scent have a loving spirit?

    Good Afternoon Gentlemen!

No....it does not have a loving spirit It smells a bit like Ca Ca..... I'm sorry, this means a delay...I have no idea how one can go from being to sweet to smelling like doo doo....

I have to make more scented cotton balls, and we will sniff the baggie again tomorrow morning.

    I promise to give updates.

    Colleen,
I think someone's messing with you and slipped some eau de pew into your baggie when you weren't looking.

Hope everyone has a great weekend...I've a bunch of grading to look forward to, but at least I can do that over a beer or two on the weekend . And yes, their grades do tend to improve as I get a bit more...relaxed (but my comments tend to get less inhibited as well).

    Cheers,
    Ed

LOL...."Eau de Pew".....yeah, I'll say. It smells sour "Ewwww" yuk! Definately not what a Gentlemen wants to smell like, and certainly not what a woman wants to snuggle up too. I gotta fix that...pronto.

So now I have to go back the other way, lower the lemon and increase the heart....because that seems to absent

Hey Ed....WoW! you sound like a great Professor. What's the best comment you ever wrote on a paper???

    Good Morning Gentlemen!

Alright....we're back in business, the offending oil was the Amyris. For the other blends even the "sour" one....they both smell much better this morning. There is no denying that ageing a blend is beneficial, but sometimes a person can't wait a whole year....lol. Which was the standard ( and still is in finer perfumes ) back in the day.

We will try again for Monday, and Ed.....I'm still curious about those comments!

    Good Morning Gentlemen,

Just a quick note over morning coffee. The scent is better now, so I believe I'll package it up at week's end and then you can tell me what you think is missing.

I will be adding a few extra scent blends in the form of " scent sticks". As far as the AS goes I think I have tweaked it to the best of my ability.

A question for you though.....should an AS used in the Cooler months of the year have menthol ??

    Colleen
