Thanked: 0What is similar to C.O. Bigelow??
Hi all, I'm in love with this stuff. I've been straight razor shaving for a few months now and have purchased several of the most recommended soaps. I'm still narrowing down my favorites, but one I just love, both smell and texture/feel is the Bigelow stuff which I understand is made by Proraso. Just wondering if anyone knows more about the smell of the Bigelow and if there's any other cream out there similar to it?? Just looking to expand my cream/soap collection.
Thanks!

not one I have personally tried, but I understand valobra does a mentholated shaving soap. Razorguy on this forum does good reviews of the other italian soaps and I remember reading one recently about Valobra.

Bigelow is SO CHEAP though... How can you beat it? They have sales on it all the time too! Plus SWMBO has coupons for additional money off... It is a NO BRAINER!

Thanked: 1185Proraso green is, I believe, the match for C.O. Bigelow. However, I really do prefer C.O. Bigelow because its cheap and available locally.
The older I get, the better I was

It's my #1 recommendation to new shavers. Inexpensive (not cheap!), easy to lather, friendly on the water/cream ratio, and easy to find.
Anything menthol should smell similar.
