Thanked: 16Great Experience With Queen Charlotte Soaps!!!
Hey all,
I had a previous thread asking about these guys, but I was so impressed with their level of service I wanted to give them a new thread so peeps might feel good about them and throw a bit of business!
So I placed an order on the night of Oct 17 (I am located in Canada too). Literally by the time I got to work the next morning I had shipping confirmation. I though "Wow! That's quick!". Well a couple days later I was pleasantly surprised to receive another e-mail from Matthew stating the the shipping costs actually worked out cheaper than what I was quoted and billed from the website, and that I would be getting a refund towards my credit card! I have to say that it says something about a company that they would give someone money back after an agreed upon price and payment sent. He said he wouldn't feel right about making an extra $14.00 for something that was not value added.
What a respectable thing to do!
Finally, even though I am in Canada, I received my order only 9 days after submitting my order, which is really fast for us when ordering good from the US. I frequently expect up to 3 weeks delivery time in situations like this...
Lastly, I tried one of the shaving soaps last night (tallow based) as well as the after shave balm and shower soaps. I have to say the quality was exceptional! The shaving soap lathered up extremely easily and well, and while the scent was light, it was very pleasant. I know some of them will be stronger than others though and I am looking forward to trying more!
Please do not hesitate to do business with honest, reputable business such as these guys...

Thanked: 0That's good to hear about the shipping costs. I'll have my fingers crossed that I'll be in the same boat (I live only a few hours away from where QCS is located and had almost $8 in shipping costs).
Regardless of that, I am so looking forward to getting my shipment in from them!

This is refreshing to hear, as Canadians, we usually have to pay exorbitant shipping fees, sometimes I have paid upwards of 30 dollars just for shipping small items from the US, when the parcel gets here is it very irritating to see that the actual postage paid is $6.50. I know that there is more work involved in shipping to Canada, but I feel some merchants just want to increase the bottom line by padding the shipping fees...

Thanked: 485What scent did you get? The Vostok sounds nice for summer, and so does the Bay Rum (Cayman) and the Iced Key Lime. The wooden bowl looks nice, too...
I also like the 'Our Ingredients' area of the site, very informative...Stranger, if you passing meet me and desire to speak to me, why should you not speak to me? And why should I not speak to you?

Thanked: 16I bought a few items actually... For the shaving soap I went with the Green Irish Tweed and the Celestial Woods. I also got the Fougere After Shave balm which smells great. I also bought 8 bars of soap in a variety of scents. I am currently using the Briar scent which is fantastic! The Tallow based soaps are truly wonderful...
Again, I am so far very pleased with everything and will most definitely be buying off of the folks again!

Thanked: 1263It is becoming more difficult to buy online for sure...I was looking for a brush awhile back and the shipping was $28. Luckily I ended up finding a vendor here in Canada and shipping for the same brush ended up being $7.50. It's sad but true
