    Default Stone Fox Beau Brummel

Gentlemen, it was my pleasure to try this evening First Batch off the line of the Beau Brummel shaving cream from Stone Fox.
The slip was as good as any shave cream I have had if not better!
The Lather was second to none!
The duration was as expected of a fine shave cream!
I can't say enough about it. This young lady has put her heart and soul in this shaving cream for just us "shavers"!
I will definitely have it in my weekly rotation for sure. It was as fine a shave as I have ever had. For some reason I either stropped this razor better than I have ever before or the combination of the shave cream and Keen Kutter is perfect.
The fragrance is not overwhelming but at a very nice level!
My wife said the fragrance reminded her of her travels in Europe on trains, from country to country!
With that a very deserving thank you to Katie, Taranstone and his wife too!
I will treasure these samples very sparingly!
Tomorrow evening will be the next review of three total for three fragrances.
I hope that everyone else that is testing it will feel the same also.
Thanks everyone and have a good evening!!!!!
For those that attended the KC meet You will all understand this post!!

    Ray

    Thanks Ray!
I should probably introduce myself and the product, huh?

Since I got into traditional shaving, my true addiction has been soaps and creams. I love the products and have been enjoying the whole lather process everyday: the ritual of it, the skill and art it takes to make, the scents and the pay off, a great shave. Among those I have tried, I have found several favorites, Coate's, TOBS and I Coloniali for creams and RazoRock, Cella, and Synergy for the soaps.
My wife has a friend, Katie, who has been an artisan soap maker for some time. One evening, I asked her if she could attempt a soap for my wet shaving addiction. She did some research and found the same formula that many other artisan makers have found and made, bath soap plus clay = shave soap. After more research, she happened upon a 1800's shave soap recipe. Some tweaks and trial and error, she has come upon a magic combination, which is now - Stone Fox Shave Cream.
i don't know the whole recipe, but I can tell you that it is a hot process soap/cream with rice bran oil as an vegetarian lanolin substitute. As i was testing it, it performed better than nearly everything I had tried to this point. It's very slick, very cushioning and quite moisturizing.
