Thanked: 346It smells like laundry detergent to me. I add a few drops of lavender essential oil to the tube which helps the smell somewhat, but scent is definitely not this cream's strong point.
But it does work very well, and at that price is still a bargain. Williams shaving soap is the same way to me, I don't particularly care for the scent but I get great shaves from it.

Thanked: 2But I actually like the Williams.
What i have found best though is almost saturating the brush with Williams, and then adding in some proraso tube cream. It gives a nice lather.
I just couldn't get over the smell of Pamolive to actually enjoy using it.

Thanked: 0I hated the scent the first time I tried it, though by the second or third started to appreciate it as a semi-clean, handsoap effect. No essential oils to pump up the price, that's for sure.
