I have used both scents and my choice would be the Rose & Cedarwood. Both are equal in performance terms, but I shave early in the morning and the orange was just to sickly for my liking.

I have Mike's Hungarian Lavender, Coconut, Bay Rum, and Unscented. He threw in a teaser sample of the Orange with my first order & I liked it very much. They all perform very well, among the very best of the artisan soaps. The Orange is a fairly strong scent and some will love it, others not so much as the previous two comments attest. If you'd like to try a good Orange scented soap while you wait for Mike to restock,I recommend honeybeesoaps.net. Her Orange Burst is not quite as strongly scented as Mike's but still has a nice citrus zing to it. Performance is very close to Mike's - I'd say Mike's makes a slightly stronger lather and the HoneyBee is slightly slicker. The Honeybee soaps are fairly hard soaps but lather quite easily. I wouldn't be able to choose one over the other so you'll just have to try both.

I liked the shaving soaps so much I bought several bars of his bath soaps and a shampoo bar. Great stuff.

    Gentlemen,
Mike's is one of a handful of artisan shave soaps I like. His barbershop scented soap is my favorite.

Next to Tabac, Mike's soaps perform best for me.

I regularly use a Bay Rum Tin and I have his Orange in a stick. The Orange scent is intoxicating its so fragrent. I've tried several samples and they are all quite nice too.

    Give him a try.
