any professional perfumers out there?
So I have a soap that I bought when I first started wet shaving that is scented as pipe tobacco and leather. The scent is absolutely luxorious. However the performance of the soap is lacking.
I have tried to recreate the scent and failed. I bought some more because I figured that I could make an uberlather with it but the scent isnt the same anymore. Close but not there. I asked the seller what happened and she said she had to switch suppliers for the fragrance oils.
So I was wondering if any of you guys can help me to recreate the scent. I only have a little bit left of the original puck so I cant send that much out. I would be eternally thankful to you guys if you can help me figure this out.

Thanked: 603You might try contacting Colleen Hurley (churley, here on SRP) -- she's a professional soap maker (The Gentlemen's Quarter), and her "Cavendish Black" shaving soap smells, lathers, lubricates, and moisturizes like nobody's business. She's closed-up-shop for a while, but she might have some of this remaining in her inventory. Or, she might be willing to help you "get where you want to go". It's a thought.
Smooth shaving! You can have everything, and still not have enough.
I'd give it all up, for just a little more.
