Over the last number of months I have been using one of the Portland General Store's products on a daily basis. Some days it is only a edt and other days it is a whole series of products (from soap to toner to aftershave to fragrance).

In the last order I placed, I ordered their shave jelly called Alpine. It is as cooling as its name states, but it is the post shave feel of the face is just super. The jelly is easy to apply with hands/fingers and is a great alpine fragrance. The only downside is that the jelly being clear/translucent makes it difficult to see where you have shaved and could dry out a bit if you take too long in your shave. I have found that a wet shaving implement is better for this product than a dry one (by wet I mean a razor that has not had the drops of water knocked off of it after it is rinsed, which I normally do).

In a rush, or on a business trip is has served me well. I really like the old time fragrance combos that they have come out with at the Portland General Store.

On a side note:
The Alpine shave jelly and the Racer shave cream, I would not ever touch to a brush. It would gum it up too much for my taste.
