I guess this proves YMMV. My face, which is not sensitive to much reacts really badly to Prosaso Green. It just lights up irritation which I never have otherwise.

Could that be because of the scent? I have seen some soap manufacturers with the same kind of scent that warns buyers with sensitive skin for that scent.

I also think it's an issue of water ratio.

I've been playing with different soaps and ratios, I think the easiest one for me is MWF as it creates a great lather, but I'll stick to "mastering" the lather with the Penhaligon's cream as I love the scent.
I also think I got a little bit over confident with my technique so I'm focusing on slowing down and stretching the skin properly. Did that today and got a way better shave than the last week.

Thank you everyone for your answers.

Now, isn't this just a prime example of YMMV? You find MWF the easiest to lather, yet for so many, it's a fickle soap. I have never had an issue with MWF, in fact it is one of my favourites, but for a large number, it is no go.
Remember, the Pen's cream doesn't require much product. I also forgot to mention that living in Vancouver, you are blessed with some of the softest water around. That should make lathering incredibly easier for you which probably explains the MWF.
