Thanked: 1184A premium soap that will soon disappear is Mama Bear's. You are missing something if you haven't tried it.
Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

Mikes... yeah his barbershop is my second favorite next to palmolive and his orange peppercorns is another favorite. if you can try cella, Inexpensive and it works great, smells like a bag of sliced almonds. nothing fancy but glide like crazy and soothing.
Mastering implies there is nothing more for you to learn of something... I prefer proficient enough to not totally screw it up.

I'm surprised that no one has mentioned Mitchell's Wool Fat yet - the signature English tallow soap. Also missing from the list of suggestions is Tabac, one of the all-time best soaps you will find.
I'd add Derby and GZD to the "cheap ones" category; they're even marginally better latherers than Arko. Of the artisan soaps, Mike's, Honeybee, Petal Pusher Fancies, and Mystic Water all make outstanding soaps. Then there's.. wait, I'd better stop. (A serious SAD sufferer here.)

Not sure if they have it in the.UK but C.O. Bigelow from Bath and Bodyworks here in the U.S. is the best shaving cream I have found yet. It's made by Proraso.
