Thanked: 3Less drying lanolin free soap.
I recently moved from the coast to the Midwest. Now that winter has arrived I find my skin really dry. I was wondering then if anyone could suggest a shaving soap or cream that wouldn't dry my skin further but is also lanolin free (since I'm allergic). The soaps that I usually see people suggesting for dry skin all have lanolin in them.

DR Harris is fantastic soap...no lanolin and all the tallow.

Provence Sante is nice and moisturizing due to the Shea Butter, but has no lanolin in it. It's a good performer as well.

SuperSpeed,
As some of the gentlemen have suggested, the D.R. Harris range of British soaps and creams will suit you well. From France, you can't go wrong with Institute Karite and Provence Sante. Savon Le Pere Lucien, also from France, is a wonderful soap. Then we come to Martin de Candre, which I consider celestial. That perhaps in the future.
