    Default New Appreciation for Arko

Well, tonight I have a new apprecitaion for the Arko shave stick. I've used it a few times before and it's a great soap, but tonight I used it in the fashion that I believe it's meant to be used. I simply applied it to my wet beard and then used the brush to swirl and create the lather right on my face…WOW. I've been applying it to the brush and then whipping a lather in my scuttle but now realize I have not been doing this soap any justice, even though it's still been impressive using it this way. It performed even better than imagined…nice slick lather and great cushion.
Even better that I'm teaching my second son to shave and we experimented together and both think it's awesome. Top it off with Tabac as an aftershave and we're both beaming…my beaming is more pride in him than a great shave for me but a great shave none the less. Arko is a fantastic soap on the cheap…for those that haven't tried it don't be afraid.

As far as I know..the stick is what's most available. But you may be able to find it in the form of a cream…or God forbid…canned form

I have mostly used the Arko stick the conventional way to face lather, rub stick on face and lather, for great results. I also pressed a stick into a container load the brush from it and then face lather for equally great results. Arko just plain works either way and works well.

You can purchase applicator which works great for Arko.
BTW it's against the law to force Arko into a container and load the brush from it.

Arko is rapidly becoming my "go to" soap. I have tried all ways applying it but the lather is so much better when its face lathered.

My favourite thing to do is to soak the end of the stick while you soak your brush, then it goes on the face better and seems to lather more readily with less water. I hate runny lathers especially when face lathering, but thats not a problem with Arko.

You guys have got me convinced that spending a mighty €1,20 on Arko is well worth it. Thank you for this type of threads, as I'm currently only favouring 3 of my 8 soaps and hence am badly in need of a few new ones.

I don't know the brands of two of my favourite soaps, but I'll put up some pictures soon. They were given to me by a friend and they are absolutely fantastic. Performance similar to MWF, but better smelling.
