Walter, you will not regret it. Martin de Candre is a celestial shave soap.

Just to keep this thread on course...you will not be disappointed with either. I have both and they are both amazing, IMHO MdC just can't be beat. Enjoy both once they arrive and let us know your opinion on them

I prefer fougere but both do have a similar scent.

You can definitely tell they are related to each other.

A dryer brush is better on this one.

It seems more and more guys are trying MdC everyday, and I think Ryan82 said it in another thread- this soap will last so long that in terms of value, the $63 dollar price tag is actually a great value...

Rmarsh , you are correct about Ryans comment , this soap/cream/ and I repeat Obie "its celestial" sorry Obie for stealing your quote, but I haven't come up wit a word better to describe this product. OP you will not be disappointed, the price is great considering how long it will last and the enjoyment that comes with its use. I took Obies recommendation and I believe you will be very happy too! I have the MDC fougere and has one big problem: when I bought it every time I come into the bathroom to shave, I always choose this soap! It 's really a great shaving soap, shaving foam, perfume and the post. I hope soon to be able to try the original version, I have few rivals for the top spot. In my locker is definitely the first place.

I wan't to try this soap since everybody is talking so good about it. It is a little pricey but I'm too curious. But I can't really justify buying it since I have one, two... a few soaps
