Best way to extract this sample
OK. So, I wasted 1/2 of one sample trying to remove it from the zipped bag. What are your ideas on the best way to remove these samples with minimal waste?
Thanks, guys. It was definitely a pain in the rear and wasteful the first time...Last edited by Siguy; 02-12-2014 at 01:34 AM.

soap or cream? If it's soap, slice the bag open and peel it off, then put it in a mug. If it's cream, the handle of a spoon or a popsicle stick. Somebody is going to jump in with the name of the "cream scooping" tool.

Thanked: 4I think they call it a snurdle, a tongue depressor or trim tool will work equally nice.

Thanked: 129I exactly where you're coming from here! Simple solution that I found works. Cut the bag on 2 side fold out flat scope sample up with a spatula and put in another small pot such as a very small plastic food container. I use these for small quantities of spices and you should be able to get these from a supermarket or online. They are also really useful for putting small quantities of shaving cream, aftershave bale etc in when traveling

How about putting it in the freezer or fridge for a little while and then removing it from the bag. That might work?

I know its silly. I've got my ideas, but I wanted to see what ya'll came up with. The stuff is almost stickier than vasolene.
I'm going to have to cut all 4 sides of the bag off and employ a method of scrape and wipe. Probably use those little collar insert thingies from dress shirts...

Thanked: 3215A wooden coffee stir stick is the poor man’s snurdler. When you get down to the nubs cut it open.
And put it on the tip of your brush, not the edge of the cup.
