Thanked: 8Los Angeles Soap Company
has anyone tried any of their stuff? supposedly there stuff is a reversed engineered MDC formula.
it's the same guy who posted the recipe on badger and blade. I haven't tried MDC and couldn't get the materials to make it myself so I wanted to see if anyone has tried both to see if it is indeed the same thing.

From Page 2: http://straightrazorpalace.com/soaps...ried-like.html
I have still not tried the MdC to compare it, but I have a sample on the way from a trade. The LASS is excellent though!Bob

I'd say it's close to MdC but not quite the same. To my nose LASC's (fougere) did have that extra little medicinal note to its lavender that MdC does. And I get just a bit more density from my MdC as I got from the LASC sample I tried.
LASC was a really, really nice soap. It is just not an exact duplicate of MdC - more like a fraternal twin than an identical twin.
Whole-hearted believe it's worth grabbing a sample and giving it a try if you're interested in it.John

i just used a sample of Bespoke today....scent was clove-like...whipped up easily...soap was croap-like..not as hard as MdC....the lather i thought was thin...but maybe i didnt get the ratio down since it was my first go at it.
overall it was ok...but i like mdc better.
