I have been just throwing the cover back on too. They also say to use a badger brush. Lies I tell you lies, just used a a $10.00 Omega boar with great success never mind my favourite synthetic. Works with any brush type I have.

I let it air dry all day and cover it back up after work.
Perspective is always a good place to land...it's soap, not the Holy Grail...after I finish with a wonderful shave of the fantastic Prorasso Red, I shake out any excess water, and put the nice plastic cover over the red plastic bowl - will do the exact same for the MDC!
I have always kept covered my two Martin De Candre and nothing bad happened so far. And this is what I do with all the soaps I have. Air and light can however be not so good for soap.
I've been leaving mine uncovered ever since this was brought up....I'd like to cover it as I'm not sure what to do with the lid, mini Frisbee?
Doesn't this soap cure for 5 months or something like that........open?
If you have two you leave the lids off so they can mate at night and produce another jar full.
