I was wondering if there is a technical definition of what makes something a soap, or a cream. For example Dr. Selby has a product called
Luxury Shaving Cream 3x Concentrated. ( This is much harder than the Italian shaving soaps like Cella or Valbora)
Then there is Martin de Candre.
The ingredients for both are exactly the same: (The Dr. Selby has some coloring added).

* stearic acid
* water
* coconut acid
* potassium hydroxide
* glycerin
* parfum
So what are these soaps or creams? Whose label in incorrect?
