Thanked: 2W.M. Neumann vs Ogallala
I'm wondering if anybody has experience with Neumann and Ogallala shave soaps. What are some of the pros and cons to them? Also, I've been known to have allergic reactions to some aftershaves and colognes. How are these when it comes to allergies?

Thanked: 1One sided reply here, but I bought a WM Neumann aftershave sampler ($2!) and loved the scents and revitalizing properties. These guys pride themselves on natural ingredients and doing things the old fashioned way. They also offer soaps, AS, and balms in the full line of scents so the AS sampler will give you a preview of the soaps. I am planning on picking up a half pound of their Heartwood soap when room opens up in the rotation.
I have heard that their soaps require the right water/soap ratio to lather correctly but feedback has been mostly positive from what I've seen. Downside also is you can't find samples online of the soap...I'm pretty sure Ogallala has sample packs available.
My recommendation, pick up sample AS from WM Neumann and soap from Ogallala, pick whichever scent works for you. Both are natural products so you should be covered in the allergy department unless you know an ingredient that agitates you

Thanked: 2Thanks! One thing I've noticed is there isn't a lot out there on Neumann's products.

I haven't tried the Neumann's soaps yet but I really like the scent of their 1911 aftershave. I'll probably order the matching soap at some point.
