The Art of Shaving Shaving creme
So I have often read that TAOS products are a bit over rated and over priced.
My wife recently bought me a set that came with shave oil, shave cream, and after shave balm. Now I'm not a big fan of shave oil(I've tried a few) but the shaving cream was a huge surprise. I absolutely love it. The sandalwood scent lasts long, it lather very easily and very rich. Over all it was a great experience. I've tried about 15 soaps and creams and I would have to say its one of my favorites.
Am I crazy to feel this way?

Thanked: 3225No, I can't say anything bad about how AOS creams perform and agree that it lathers easily producing a nice thick lather. It is on the expensive side of the equation when I find that a Tabac refill puck will do the same for considerably less.

The Art of Shaving's Sandalwood is an absolute favorite of mine. I don't know who's been running it down to you, but I have tried more than a few creams over the years and you know what - I still love it lol.
If you are crazy for feeling that way - so am I .David

Thanked: 1I'm currently running with some AoS lavender and I love it. Great lather and it performs well. The scent is very pleasing, perfect for days where Proraso green is too eye opening.
It was the first cream I bought after my VDH puck, and I think the premium paid was worth being able to smell the soap beforehand in the store.
I wouldn't say you are crazy at all, like what you like without apology
I would like to keep this in my rotation but I have so many soaps on my list I don't know how to prioritize!

Thanked: 7I have to agree with the general consensus that they are among the best products out there and you pay for that fact. I use the lavender shave cream and after-shave balm as a special treat.
Note: the balm is a little on the thick/heavy side so its good for me in the dry NE winter, but I don't use it much in the summer.
Best, Alan

Col. Conk Almond soap + AOS Sandalwood cream + glycerin. Now that is a real treat. The scent is amazing don't know if the Col. Conk's adds anything but the scent, but I don't care because I can still smell it at the end of the day!
AOS Pre-Shave oil is garbage, but they're creams and after-shave balms are awesome.

That's my Sundays treat! I just posted my Sunday shave with the AoS sandalwood products and my first shave with my brand new hart razor. I also have Ocean Kelp and it's nice as well.

Good to see this response. I must have just stumbled on a couple of the wrong threads. The more I use the soap the more I like it. Great product and cant wait to try other products from them.
Any recommendations for my next AOS creme?
