Default Just tried Tiki Bar-Set Sail

I got my first jar of Tiki Bar Shave Soap yesterday. It is the Set Sail scent. I used it today face lathering with my Whipped Dog Synthetic knot. It loaded quickly, easily producing a great thick, cushioning lather. The scent is spectacular. It is a combination of lavender, mint, rosemary, and cedarwood. I will have to leave it others to compare it with MdC, but this is an excellent soap….even in my HARD water.

Amanda, the owner, has a PHD in Chemistry. She has tried to reverse engineer MdC with her ingredients.

Amanda also included a puck of a new scent: Cucumber & Mint.

Love hearing about this soap, it's on my short list for next year. I'm hearing nothing but good things about it. I checked out her site but see nothing describing the scents.

The Set Sail has Lavender, Mint, Rosemary, and Cedarwood.

    This is about it:

Scents are available in the following options:

Set Sail: transports you to a far away land where fields of herbs bloom. A simpler time, where you can relax and unwind.
The Captain: Knows what he wants. Bold, distinctive, unforgettable. A blend of pipe smoke, cherries, ozone, and molten lava.
Surfs Up: Clean and refreshing, with notes of ocean air and greenery.
Land Locked: An earthy, bright blend of fruits and herbs including black pepper, patchouli, and orange.
Salty Air: A blend of sea water and ocean mist with kelp undertones.
Spice Islands: Spicy mango, cilantro, and black pepper.

I used it for the third time today, this time with my WD 22mmx48mm Silvertip. 7-10 seconds to load and off to the races (I do leave some hot water on the soap while I shower).

I've checked their website and shipping to Europe is only $5! Now I'll have a hard time coming up with reasons not to buy it.

Amanda has come a long way...........

I used the Tiki Bar Fougere tallow today for the first time. I put a layer of warm water on the soap while I showered as usual. After loading my brush for 20 seconds, I had enough thick, slick, cushioning later for a 3+ pass shave. Doc Amanda does an excellent job on these soaps.

Ingredients: grass fed beef tallow, stearic acid, coconut oil, castor oil, kokum butter, potassium hydroxide, sodium hydroxide, vegetable glycerin, fragrance, lanolin alcohol.

2nd shave with the tallow Tiki Fougere. I used a different brush today and still had enough excellent lather after loading for 20 seconds for a 3+ pass shave. I don’t think the Tiki Fougere scent is my favorite, not bad, just not falling love with it. Overall, I had another good shave.

FYI-I did have a “rainbow” of colors on my sink after shaving. The bottom label bled and started to disintegrate. I removed it. Problem solved.

Rats! It seems that everything is out of stock!
