    Default Melting Trumpers (Milled?) Soap

Recently i bought some trumpers soap refills and passed some on to other members.

I found that they did not melt well in the microwave.

So i put grated the soap into the dish i wanted to use as a bowl. Then i put the lid on and put it in a pot of boiling water on a medium heat on the stove/cooker. I put the lid on the pan, and left it for about twenty minutes. When it was soft and nearly runny, i added a little almond oil (it was an almond soap) and pressed it down with a glass.
May be a good idea to heat the glass so that the soap does not cool rapidly on contact.
Once mixed and pressed down i heated it for a few minutes so it would form a puck in the bottom that was homogenous.

My understanding is that milled soap does not melt and reharden the way glycerin does. Milled soaps can be rebatched, grated, add some water or milk, put is under low heat for several hours. I think most soapers (maybe one wil chime in here) say that rebatched soap is not as good as the real thing.

I am interested in your result, if it works ... it works.

It seems to lather up fine, the almond oil was only a few drops to help it reform.

When i first found it hard to melt in the micro, i remembered things i had read and stopped.
