Expanding the TOBS collection
Ok so D.R. Harris Windsor soap has been my "fav" for a while now. Recently I tried TOBS St james cream. VERY impressed! I want to add to the collection of creams. Downfall is I cant smell them locally. Considered buying a sampler but was looking for info from the users. Does any of TOBS creams smell along the same lines as Windsor? Also what would be your guys pick of Jermyn St or Eton College? Thanks in advance.

Thanked: 19The Arlington and Windsor scents from Harris don't have an equal in my opinion - period! They are my two favourite shaving scents. However, of all the TOBS scents, Eton College is by far my favourite - love that cream. Jermyn St I would define as a very modern smell - almost akin to designer scents. I like it a lot, but its not a scent I could tolerate shaving with every day. Eton College however, is fresh and zesty, and I don't tire of using it!

Thanks Kryton. I agree with you on the DR scents. I always go back to them. Especially Windsor. Do you think that Eton College is similar? By the descriptions of scents I have a hard time telling what they truly smell like. Of course I don't want all my soaps an creams to smell the same. But would like to keep them in the same class. I have one that is just horrible. No names mentioned lol.

Thanked: 19Yes I would say its similar, in so much as it can certainly match the Harris scents in terms of aroma and quality. But I don't believe that after purchasing it you would feel you had in any way wasted your money on a direct copy of any of your other soaps and creams - Eton College definitely stands on its own! I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Yeah nonick I can get a sampler here. My issue is with the sampler I spend what a tube of cream would cost or more. An I end up getting a couple shaves from scents I like. The rest of the scents I never care for. So I tend to take a leap an buy what I am thinking about. If in the long run I don't like it I regift it to someone else. But that has only happened a couple times.

Well my Eton C showed up yesterday from SRD. First off great service an super fast delivery. Moving on, The smell to me is exactly what I seem to remember my barbers shop smelling like as a kid. This stuff performed great. An I can honestly its the best shave Ive had so far with a shavette. TOBS is continually impressing me. I see more soaps an creams being added soon LOL.
