    Default Bert's bees shave cream

Has anyone on here tried the Bert's bees shave cream? I found it at my local cvs and decided to pick it up for about $8. I haven't shaved with it yet hopefully in the morning!

It's fun to walk right past the section of over priced bagged disposables!

I tried it years ago. It smells nice otherwise I thought it was bad stuff. It made a very thin weak lather that dried very rapidly.

Loved the smell but I could never get it to lather.

Tried and after one shave gave it the Swiss Miss who tried it and now it sets on a shelf with other rejected soaps/creams.

You are right it's the worst product ever for making a lather, but I will put my reputation on the line and say this is one of the best pre shave creams you can use, what I do is my usual prep hot water wash I then rub this into my whiskers then face lather my shaving soap over the top brilliant.

I'm with celticcrusader, Burts Bees, Cremo and Kiss My Face are the best pre shave creams around. On their own I would shave a dog with them, but as a base for a good lather they can't be beat. Even works well with my cold water shaving.
