Default Green Mountain...I think I may have to try it

I was just browsing the other day and came across a review about the Green Mountain Soaps. When I first started in the wet shaving hobby the soap bug bit me and I tried quite a few before I finally got down to two brands I fell in love with. Since I am a creature of habit I have been sticking with those two but this review I read really spiked my curiosity.

Right now I only use the htgam synergy line and the gondolier would have to be my favorite in that line of soap. Then there is Barrister and Mann and I can honestly say I absolutely love that stuff and the guys that work over there are really amazing when it comes to service and recommending soaps that fit your cologne and fragrances that you wear everyday. You ask them a question at 2 a.m and you get a reply within 5 minutes that is incredibly insightful. Ok enough gushing over B&M service. The lather from their soap is second to non and is amazing with a big silvertip brush because it is a very thirsty soap but produces a super thick slick lather. To me it sounds like the Green Mountain line is very similar to that and is very pleasant. Anybody use the stuff and if so what do you think?

Hi Tony! Saw your post and just had to comment! I didn't know Green Mountain made shaving soaps! The only Green Mountain I know makes black-powder barrels, and they are top notch! Lol! Your recommendation of the Synergy soap to me was wonderful and it is all you said and more. I'll have to look into this soap! Frank

Frank! What's up my friend? Glad to hear from you. The synergy is some good stuff for sure and leaves the skin feeling very clean and soft. I read an article about the green mountain soap I few days ago and saw that SRD carried it. I tend to like the some of the thirsty soaps because if I make one mistake most than any other its using too much water with my big silvertip. Green Mountain sounds like some great stuff and for 11-12$ I am going to give it a try.

I have used it since shortly after it was announced. They are a very smooth, semi-soft, soap and require a LOT of water added even through the big bubble stage.
When the lather is right, you can enjoy the shave and even do your touch up with just a little water on your skin. Great price and top dollar performance!
    YMMV..but not much!
