I have used the macca root cream, easy to use and preformed well, however it's the only product that after my final rinse I felt some discomfort and irritation. Like I was sitting in front of a campfire.

Some people do have reactions to various different soaps/creams. MWF is mentioned quite a bit in that regard and presumably it is a reaction to the lanolin content. Unfortunately you just don't know till you actually try a soap if you are lucky or not.

I use a lanolin oil on my beard and in the winter my cheeks with no ill effect. Could be a combination of ingredients and chems I was exposed to during the day.

I did not mean that Maca Root contains lanolin but only used it as an example of people having reactions to ingredients in a soap/cream. Just that it could esily be something in the Maca Root.

The Maca Root cream is, as others have said, a pretty good cream. The only thing to remember is that it is a very thirsty cream, so experiment with your water content when building your lather. There are times I thought it was good to go, but it started drying pretty fast. I added a bit more water (either to the tips of my brush when face lathering or a bit to my mug) and reworked the lather. After that it was fine.

My biggest problem is finding an aftershave that goes well with it, since the scent has some pretty good staying power.
