Thread: Tabac scent has faded

I started with a jar of Tabac shaving soap. When I opened it is was really strong scented. I used it and would get whiffs of the scent through out the evening (kind of nice). However, subsequent shaves found the scent to be very mild to weak. Just one with the full aroma, and the second use, and all others weaker.
I thought that strange. I wish it were stronger.

If you want a strong scent try some arco

Is it possible you're just getting used to it and not noticing it so much anymore? I too love the scent so I always have some Tabac splash at hand. You can even get shower gel and talc as well as deodorant if you want to smell like a German brothel. It's old school deodorant too if that means anything to you, like how Old Spice was in the 70's and 80's as I recall. Good stuff.

What puzzles me is that before use, and the first use, the scent was very strong, bordering on too strong.
The second, and all uses since, have been a marked step down; not gradual or changing, but step down.
Kind of seemed like a layer of scent was on the top surface and was used up with the first shave.
It just stuck me as odd.
Maybe a sales ploy for soap sniffers. LOL
