    Default Stone Fox Shave Cream

    Hey Guys,
I had the unexpected pleasure of trying a new shave cream. I was sent a jar of Stone Fox shave cream. I used it last night & was very happy with the results.

When I first opened the jar, the scent was "grabbing" & I have yet to identify it. Lets just say, I wish there was an aftershave/cologne in this line, I'd buy it tomorrow.

The cream lathered easily, much like my AOS Lavender. The brush I used was new & not broken in, so I can't wait to test it tonight with my best brush.

The lather held the water on my face quite well, no chance of drying out during the shave. The remaining lather in the bowl, for my second pass, was as fresh as the first pass.

I used a vintage Gillette with a Feather; what a comfortable shave. I also liked the way the lather rinsed from the DE easily, unlike my Bigelow, which seems to want to stay a while.

Here's a link to the company. I don't know the owners, but I hope they stick around for a while, as this is a fine product.

    Thanks for reading,
    Hirlau

I like the picture on their home page. See you used a lady gillette, picked one up for my wife about a year ago. She loves it and I am not allowed to touch it unless I am changing the blade.

Yes, it's a great shaver. I try to rotate my vintage DE's about every 2 months. I've got an old open comb waiting next in line.

Can't you read, Hirlau? The smell is "Fragrance". I quite like fragrance, a few of my soaps have that smell. I'm pretty sure I've seen more than a few aftershaves with fragrance too.

Well, I'm going to head out in the morning in search of a bottle of fragrance,,,I doubt that Wal Mart will carry it,,so I'll start at Macy's, they have a lot of scents there.

I think my eagle eye recognizes that brush, John. Isn't that one of Ray's brushes? Looks exactly like the copper one he had at the Asheville meetup a couple weekends ago, kind of a twin to my brass one.

Their website describes their Beau Brummel FRAGRANCE as:

Beau Brummel - Tobacco and black tea are the dominate notes with hints of fruit and spice. This fragrance is heady, masculine and evokes images of the classic well dressed gentleman.

    Sounds good to me!
