    Default 7 Days: 7 Stirling Soaps, 7 Brushes, 7 Razors, 7 Blades, 7 Aftershaves

I enjoy using different products for my morning shaves. So, I decided to do something different just for a change and a little fun. (I had a very slow week and waaaay too much free time on my hands to plan this.)

I am a big fan of Stirling Soaps, so I did a “7’s” Stirling Week:

    7 Days: 7 Stirling Soaps, 7 Brushes, 7 Razors, 7 Blades, 7 Aftershaves

Day 1-Stirling Margaritas in the Arctic, Omega 10066 Boar, Gillette NEW SC, Personna Med Prep, Krampert’s Frostbite

Day 2-Stirling Ozark Mountain, Lord Chesterfield/Carrington 3-Band Synthetic, Gillette 40’s Style Superspeed, Rapira Platinum Lux, Tabac EdC

Day 3-Stirling Clubman, Plisson Grey Badger, Gillette Ball End Tech, Gillette Silver Blue, Clubman

Day 4-Stirling Lavender Sage, Whipped Dog Synthetic, Gillette Fat Handle Tech, Gillette 7 O’Clock Black SP, Grey Flannel

Day 5-Stirling Spice, Old Spice Boar, Gillette Red Tip Superspeed, Israeli Red Personna, Shulton Old Spice

Day 6-Stirling Scots Pine Sheep, oscar11 2-Band Finest, Gillette Slim, Polsilver SI, Pino Silvestre

Day 7-Stirling Barbershop, Whipped Dog Silvertip, Maggard MR1, Gillette Platinum, Canoe

    Day 1-Monday-Stirling “7’s” Week
    7 Days: 7 Stirling Soaps, 7 Brushes, 7 Razors, 7 Blades, 7 Aftershaves

Prep: Hot Shower-Stirling Scots Pine Bath Soap
Soap: Stirling Margaritas in the Arctic
    Razor: Gillette NEW Short Comb
    Blade: Personna Med Prep (1)
    Brush: Omega 10066 Boar-24mmx54mm
    Aftershave: Krampert’s Frostbite

WTG-XTG-ATG (adjusted angle for my beard a bit)

My first “7’s” Shave: 7 Days, 7 Razors, 7 Blades, 7 Stirling Soaps, 7 Brushes. A match made in heaven on all fronts. The MITA is one of my favorite Stirling soaps. It has just the right touch of menthol for me and lathers like a champ. My $9 Omega boar will keep up with any of the rest. This was one great shave: smooth, close, and nick free. I finished up with Krampert’s Frostbite. It is a perfect match with the MITA.

    Day 2-Tuesday-Stirling “7’s” Week
    7 Days: 7 Stirling Soaps, 7 Brushes, 7 Razors, 7 Blades, 7 Aftershaves

Prep: Hot Shower-Stirling Scots Pine Bath Soap
    Soap: Stirling Ozark Mountain
    Razor: Gillette 40’s Style Superspeed
    Blade: Rapira Platinum Lux (1)
    Brush: Lord Chesterfield/Carrington 3-Band Synthetic
    Aftershave: Tabac EdC

WTG-XTG-ATG (adjusted angle for my beard a bit)

My second “7’s” Shave: 7 Days, 7 Razors, 7 Blades, 7 Stirling Soaps, 7 Brushes. Stirling Ozark Mountain maintains a permanent place in my Den. I quickly got a great lather with the Chesterfield brush. The 40’s Style Superspeed and Rapira PL match up well. The Rapira PL edges out the Rapira Swedish Supersteel by a whisker for me. Great shave: smooth, close, nick free! I finished up today with Tabac EdC.

    Day 3-Wednesday-Stirling “7’s” Week
    7 Days: 7 Stirling Soaps, 7 Brushes, 7 Razors, 7 Blades, 7 Aftershaves

Prep: Hot Shower-Stirling Scots Pine Bath Soap
    Soap: Stirling Clubman
    Razor: Gillette Ball End Tech
    Blade: Gillette Silver Blue (1)
    Brush: Plisson Grey Badger
    Aftershave: Clubman

WTG-XTG-ATG (adjusted angle for my beard a bit)

My third “7’s” Shave: 7 Days, 7 Razors, 7 Blades, 7 Stirling Soaps, 7 Brushes. Stirling Clubman today. The Plisson always does a great job. I got a quick, easy, thick, cushioning lather with the Clubman soap. The Tech delivered its usual excellent shave with the GSB, not as close as the NEW or 40’s Style Superspeed, but close enough. They are a good match. I finished up with Clubman….of course!

    Day 6-Saturday-Stirling “7’s” Week
    7 Days: 7 Stirling Soaps, 7 Brushes, 7 Razors, 7 Blades, 7 Aftershaves

Prep: Hot Shower-Stirling Scots Pine Bath Soap
    Soap: Stirling Scots Pine Sheep
    Razor: Gillette Slim [6]
    Blade: Polsilver Super Iridium (1)
    Brush: oscar11 2-Band Finest

WTG-XTG-ATG (adjusted angle for my beard a bit)

My Sixth “7’s” Shave: 7 Days, 7 Razors, 7 Blades, 7 Stirling Soaps, 7 Brushes. Stirling Scots Pine Sheep today paired with the oscar11 and the Slim loaded with a new Polsilver SI. The Scots Pine develops a great lather and leaves my skin feeling great. Mutton Tallow? Anyway, I had an excellent smooth, close, and nick free shave. I finished up with Pino, a pefect match for the Scots Pine.

    Day 7-Sunday-Stirling “7’s” Week
    7 Days: 7 Stirling Soaps, 7 Brushes, 7 Razors, 7 Blades, 7 Aftershaves

Prep: Hot Shower-Stirling Scots Pine Bath Soap
    Soap: Stirling Barbershop
    Razor: Maggard MR1
    Blade: Gillette Platinum (1)
    Brush: Whipped Dog Silvertip 22mmx48mm
    Aftershave: Canoe

WTG-XTG-ATG (adjusted angle for my beard a bit)

My Seventh “7’s” Shave: 7 Days, 7 Razors, 7 Blades, 7 Stirling Soaps, 7 Brushes. I am finishing up the week with Stirling Barbershop. This is a great scent. As usual, I got an easy slick lather. Combined, with the Maggard razor and Gillette Platinum blade, I got a great shave today: smooth, close, and nick free. I finished up with Canoe, a perfect match for the Barbershop soap (FYI-so is Clubman)!

This has been an enjoyable week using seven different Stirling soaps along with different brushes, razors, blades, and aftershaves each day. Change is good occasionally. As usual, all 7 Stirling soaps performed very well. Rod has really got them all uniform now. I currently have 10 different Stirling soaps including 5 sample pucks. I am in the process of picking the “Final 4” to keep in rotation, but that is another story.
