    Default Bug repellant scent.

I'm looking for a soap and aftershave balm that doesn't clash with my deet free repellant. Lots of citrus, lemony smell. I smell like a walking citronella candle but so far it works.
    Any suggestions?

As it happens, I added citronella essential oil to some Arko shave soap last week and have been loving it since. You'd have to make it yourself but it just involves grating the Arko into a bowl and mixing with the essential oils. Worth baring in mind since the Arko is so cheap, as is the essential oil.

I will try it. Do you melt the Arko and oil together? Anything has to improve the scent of Arko! Reminds my of dove soap and baths as a kid.

More of a grassy scent to me. May go well with the citronella scent though. Thank you for the suggestion!

I agree! I love the lather to cost ratio of Arko soap but never loved the smell too much. You don't need to melt it, just grate the Arko into a bowl with a cheese grater (Then wash it and never mention it to your wife/partner), add a small amount of water and add the essential oil to the soap flakes. The past-like mixture can then be pressed into a bowl, the soap isn't very hard so won't take much force. A little goes a long way with essential oils so use it sparingly - I used 10ml to 2 sticks of Arko and it is seriously lemony!

DR HARRIS Arlington is citrus and fern if I'm not mistaken.

It's available as shaving cream, shaving soap, after shave and after shave milk and also as soap, deodorant and cologne.

Do you rinse your face after the shave or just wipe off the excess soap?

The avocado works? We have bad mosquitoes here...wouldn't mind something other than Off sport scent (orange can).
