Proraso is just full proof for me. I got great lathers even when I first started traditional shaving. The red was my second soap.

Proraso red is one of my absolute favorites. I have all the proraso soap scents. Blue, red, green, and my second favorite- white. The white I've only found in the tub and it has a nice lemon citrus smell to it with the menthol eucalyptus that proraso green sports, but a little milder. It's a morning soap for sure, really wakes you up and wonderful on a warm or hot day. Name: image.jpg

Size: 45.3 KBThat 500ml bag of green I picked up in Italy last year for an American equivalent of $7 the stuff is dirt cheap over there! I'll be bringing back more next one I travel to Europe. I got it at a barber supply shop. It's used in their hot lather machines.
Blue smells like an old spice body wash/shampoo or something. It's lather is ultra slick. Slickest of the proraso creams. Some people find it's scent an acquired taste.

Walter, I have been slowly coming around to the idea of a scuttle and this post has convinced me to get one !!

Love the glide and the cushion but not so much the scent. When I want sandlewood I go to Mama Bear or SRD soap.

I really don't think they are comparable as Cremo is a brushless cream. I remember trying it and being disappointed with it using a brush. I added it with another soap/cream for an uberlather and that worked well IIRC. Seem Mantic had a similar experience with it Shave Like a Pro Without Emptying Your Wallet: Cremo Cream .
