Thanked: 49Proraso red was one of the first creams I tried and I used it almost exclusively for a month or two. My brush held the scent and would start to fill the room when I would wet it. Great soap. I now have just about all of the proraso products except the green line. Just a tube of cream in that scent. I do wish that they would expand the red line as I would probably buy every product in that scent. Would love a pre-shave cream, post shave balm, aftershave, etc. I can't believe how cheap it is for supposedly having real santalum album in it.
By the way have you tried the AOS sandalwood yet? It isn't exactly the same, but I would say it is in the same family and has been my favorite cream since I purchased it. Deep, rich and woody. I haven't tried the soap yet, but I have the aftershave gel and the balm. I'm thinking about buying the EDT but it is quite expensive for what it is in my opinion.“To be fair, I did have a couple of gadgets which he probably didn’t, like a teaspoon and an open mind.”

I haven't tried the Red yet. When I'm in the mood for menthol I use the green, green all the way with the pre-shave and the soap. I just ordered the aftershave. For the money, the Proraso product is fabulous. Likely I'll try the red next after running out the green.
I also use a George Town scuttle and I am completely spoiled. Pre-heat the scuttle and soak the brush, then refill with hot water or even microwave if you want. Hot lather from shave start to shave finish; the water is still hot when I empty the scuttle and clean it up.
For a fabulous beard prep, I'll apply the Proraso green pre-shave and then whip up some lather and apply that next. Last the whole thing gets covered by a hot towel heated in the microwave. I usually do that in parallel while the scuttle is pre-heating. The whiskers are then so soft it seems more like they give up than get shaved off.
Good to hear the other Proraso products are just as good. Enjoy the scuttle it will be hard not to!
Best,
Ed

was a green user for a while...then I bought a tube of Red. The scent grew on me but its performance was a homerun from day one. Lathers up beautifully and softens the skin nicely afterwards.

How about their shaving foam? I've noticed they sell their products in a canned foam but personally haven't used any. When I am traveling I typically don't take much stuff so if I can get a similar result with less in my luggage I will.

Thanked: 498I originally started with the Green. Menthol'y goodness. Since then I've added the red & white to my soaps/creams. As with everything Proraso makes its all fabulous.

I too recently bought some red and absolutely love the smell. It is not overpowering but seems to linger much of the day at a very nice almost unnoticeable level. The brush holds the scent as well.
