I've been using Mama Bear soaps almost exclusively for the past two months and the performance has been excellent. Definitely on par with any of the newer artisan soaps, or the older classic soaps. Once the water is dialed in correctly it will produce a very slick lather with tons of protection. I think the trick is that it does take more water than people would expect. I recommend experimenting with it.

I have the Aged Spice scent on my counter, and it is fantastic. Not just the scent but the soap as well. The lather is quite creamy

Thanked: 8Good soap but very thirsty. It took a few tries to get the water dialed in, but now I get a consistent creamy, slick foam. I also like the great variety of scents that are available.

I used my only Mama Bear soap today, Ye Olde Barbershoppe. It had been a while. The Plisson Grey Badger loaded up enough for 3+ passes of excellent lather in about 30 seconds. Very nice barber shop scent!
It is not in my Top Tier, but still a good soap.

Mama Bear is my favorite. Not only quality soaps but also a HUGE variety of scents.

I use her soaps every day. I used to use vermont country stores soap. It protects well, and makes tough whiskers easy to cut. It burns my face after about a minute though. Moma bears soap doesnt eat the hairs away, but it is super slick and feels good on my face. I have orange orange and siberian fur both smell great, lather great on my vie long whte horse hair, are very slick and comfortable.
