Default Tiki Bar Shaving Soap. What do you think?

I'm interested in hearing what you experience has been with Tiki Bar Shaving Soaps. What have you tried and how was it?

Hmmm, the only tiki bar I'm familiar with are those things we used to stock up on when I was in the Navy and we stopped at Pearl Harbor. They were sure good eating but I don't think I would want to shave with one.

It's a very good soap, IMO.

As Oscar1953 said, they are excellent soaps. I have only tried the Set Sail in the vegan formula. They are one of the artisans that worked on reverse engineering MdC.

While I liked it. No complaints. Very good. I like the Los Angeles Shaving Soap and Maggard line better in the same class. Catie's Bubbles is another one that is very similar and getting rave feedback. I have not tried the CB soaps yet. I can get the LASS and Maggard's for less and am extremely happy with them.

Try one or two of the Tiki's and see what you think.

I have 3 pucks (fougere, salt air, surf's up) haven't shaved with it yet. The scents are overpowering to me. If you like strongly scented soaps, they're a good choice.

Tiki Bar are excellent performing soaps, lathering easily, and with plenty of cushion and slickness. Some people prefer Amanda's vegan soaps, while others feel that her tallow soaps perform better. I'm probably leaning toward her vegan soaps. My personal favorite is The Captain, which is a cherry pipe tobacco scent, although I'm partial to tobacco scents. I also like Spice Islands, but find her other scents too mild. She will make a custom scent for you. There are many excellent vegan soaps available today, and her soaps compare favorably to the others. I highly recommend at least trying one.

I ordered some of the Citrus Mint Blast. It is great. Wonderful scent. Easy to build a good lather. Very slick and cushiony. The customer service is above par. I'll be ordering more, soon.

I have the Set Sail and Land Locked, both are very pleasant scents. I think I slightly prefer the tallow soap due to the post-shave feel (it also has lanolin).

I have the Spice Islands Tallow. It has Spicy mango, cilantro and black pepper in it, ostensibly. It's a good soap, but the scent is maybe not what I expected. I can't smell the pepper or cilantro and the mango is very sweet, not spicy. I like mango but maybe not as sweet as this. It's advertised as herbal but I don't think so. It's too sweet and fruity to be herbal. I also notice that it does not seem to be available now.
