    Default Beard Balm and Oils

Not entirely sure if this is the proper place to post this since it isnt directly shave related, but felt it was along the same lines.

For those of use that use our SR and such for maintaining a beard, do you use any particular beard balm or oil? Im a slow facial hair grower, but my beard is starting to get to the point that I feel it would benefit from the use of these kind of products. Currently, Im leaning more toward the use of a balm and have read lots of good things about Honest Amish balm and Mod Cabin balm. Any of you guys use any of these or have suggestions? My understanding is that a good balm will soften, smell wonderful, and help with growth and make a beard look fuller. Definitely things I want...

Not sure about it help with growth insomuch as it will soften the hairs and make them less prone to breaking.

I tried a sampler of beard oils from Mod Cabin:
    - Vagabond (Sandalwood)
    - Stirner (vetiver)
    - Gun Barrel (think pencil lead...but awesome)

Of those three Stirner and Gunpowder are my favourites.

They definitely add a pleasant scent and make my beard 'more manageable' if that makes any sense...just need to be aware of the scents and pair accordingly with your AS or cologne. Case and point, I have Stirner in my beard and am wearing Guerlain Vetiver.

As for the balms, at this point I have never tried.

    *Edit*

I see they are no longer offering Stirner...hmmm...
