GEO F. Trumper Problems??
I was just wonder if anyone has heard about the problems with the latest batch of GEO F. Trumper shaving soaps? I have been thinking of treating myself to one of the Trumper shaving soaps so I was doing some research on YouTube about their soaps and have been hearing about problems with their latest soaps. Some of the videos have been showing that bowl and face lathering seem to be showing more suds then lather. And even when you face lather the suds don't even last long enough for you too put down the brush and reach for the razor that the suds fade away leaving the need to re-lather your face.

This has been discussed. Trumper was one of the first soaps I really became fond of and it was a great performer. The last time I bought I stocked up so that was around 3 years ago so I still have the older ones that work great.

Thanked: 129I believe they have changed their supplier and the soap has been reformulated to the detriment of it's performance.

I have some eucris that i bought at christmas, i was hesitant to use it as i read of allof the issues post purchase, i found the lather ok, not terrible or anything, and to be fair i have only used it once, i think with a bit of use i could get something better from it.

Yep, I bought some of their coconut about 18 months ago and binned it within a week. Abysmal is how I'd describe it - I'm sure I could have asked for a refund but it just seemed like too much bother to pack it back up and post it off to them.
I have soaps and creams from lots of different makers that are no problem so it's nothing to do with my water properties, even though it is quite hard.

Gentlemen,
Some years ago, I used Trumper's soap and liked it. A few months ago, I renewed the acquaintance and was shocked at its low quality. Yes, the new Trumper soap is dreadful. What is wrong with these people?

My sentiments exactly Obie. I tried the Eucris. Very disappointing.
Nothing is as it ever was.

I tossed mine.
Well, I gave it the wife to use and she tossed it and blamed me for causing her shaving regimen some issues.

I found that if you take a wood screw and pull it across a puck it is more easily installed in hard wood ....... if you have the correct size pilot hole. It is very good for lubricating screws and saves your wrist and screwdriver tips. Other than that I didn't find it useful. YMMV.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Horrible! I was so excited to try their Sandalwood having read great reviews that turned out to be old and from the previous formulation. The scent is great and it turned into a very expensive shower bathing soap. As described, you get copious lather that breaks down almost immediately and is useless for shaving.
There are so many great soaps with great scents so you have lots of good choices.
